Here's one for you

if I brake quite heavily with the rear brake ( 2002 adv ABS 21k) I can induce a clunk that feels as if there is play in one of the linkage bushes. ( it’s a single clunk, not like ABS pulsing)
If I brake normally its fine , after a quick check of I cannot feel any movement in the tie rod linkage, or whatever you call it.
Is it just because of the ride height and the geometry of all the linkages ?
anyone else come across this ? it doesn’t bother me particularly but would be interested if anyone had come across it

This sounds like the ABS activating - it clunks on a bike, doesn't pulse like a car does .

How about turning the ABS off and trying it again - if it clunks then you can start worrying again......;)

I think they all clunk when the rear locks up. It is just play in the driveshaft that does that. Am I wrong?
