Clunking noise

When I pull the clutch in/out whilst holding teh front brake on. I get a very loud clunking noise from either the clutch/final drive/gear-box. Is this normal on all 1200GS's or just buggered versions?

Mine does it as did the test bike I rode.

Compared to my SV as much as I love it dearly the GS is a clunk bang clunk machine!
Theres something noisy goes on, but Ive just got used to it.

Quite normal, just get used to pulling in and slipping the clutch a bit more.
