Clutch 2003 1150 GSA

Likewise, I don't slip the clutch on the car and have done over 260,000 on the original clutch, including quite a bit of towing the boat (over 1.25 tonnes) both to the Lakes, Scotland and down to the Italian and French lakes.

Blimey  Kaskazi in need of a keel scrape then ?

How are you Simon ?

My GSA has done just under 20k and needs a new clutch. Surely this is unusual at such low milage. No wheelies or out of the ordinary riding.
Also are there different clutches I can choose from that might last longer?

Are you absolutely sure it's a clutch problem? If you're paying someone to do the job it's not a cheap option to replace it.

I notice you're in London and I have no idea how mechanically inclined you are so please don't take this as any sort of inference that you're not. However, if you want to know whether it's going to cost a lot to fix or whether it's something relatively easy, why not book it in to see Steptoe. He'll be able to tell you what is and isn't wrong with it. If it is the clutch and you need it changing I doubt there's anyone cheaper in London who could do the job as well.

If it's not the clutch but something simpler you'll have saved yourself some money.
