just returned from a week away to spain, before i left i had noticed the bike had become noisey and rough on tickover, its an 04 gs with 31000 now on the clock. i think its been getting worse over the last few weeks but now is getting rougher. it disappears when you pull in the clutch lever so was thinking clutch. Any ideas? off to the TT on saturday so looking for some reassurance
I had a similar experience i.e. rough sound which disappeared when pulling in the clutch. Turned out to be a worn bearing in the gearbox – bike is a ’07 and had 13,000 miles at the time. Replaced under warranty
but food for thought!
