Clutch gone. MY00 r1150gs

The clutch gave up the ghost yesterday for sure. Slipping in 3rd, 4th, 5th and E very badly.

Main dealer price to fix is around €900 could be more. Just don't have it at the minute so looks like she's off the road for a while.

She only had a clutch fitted by the last owner (saw the pics of the bike in two to prove it) but it looks like an oil seal has failed and caused this one to go to.

Anyway just wondering if there is a cheaper option then the main dealer for the same work to be done, Who have you guys used and how much where you's charged?

Brian at Mototech has fettled the machines on any number of BMW owners both on here and elsewhere, lot of the guys from both sides of the red line on the map use him (myself included) and nothing but praise for his work.

Worth giving him a call I'd say :thumb
 
Yep - I've took the spin from Dublin up to Mototech and it's well worth it. In my case it was just a serive on the 1150 Adventure which he quoted around £200 (I think) whereas Duffys were looking for nearly €700 for the labour alone.
