1150 GSA 2002, when the bike has warmed up a bit when I go from standstill engage the clutch it bites I accelerate and then sometimes I get a faint squeal or stretching type sound from what would appear to be from the left side of the bike when seated. This happens into second sometimes too. I have no clutch slip and the lever is good, fluid is fairly dark, not cloudy. Gearbox is fine no probs. Sometimes it is hard to get into neutral when first getting on her. What can it be?

Have looked at old posts and the noise points to a clutch slave cylinder on it's way out? Is there a push rod that can stick momentarily etc? or maybe the alternator belt? Thanks

The cold weather...this will test any weak parts. I too would go for the alternator belt.

The first sub-zero cold night recently caused mine to do a few odd things. First was the ABS lights suggesting there was a fault. Switched off and on again (highly technical manoeuvre, don't attempt unless you are totally confident with your mechanical skills). All was well. Then the clutch felt heavy until all was warm. Ever since, not a hint of any of these...

Either me or the bike have adjusted to the weather :D

It was my seat! Where the seat is next to the tank on acceleration the seat screeches and the tank magnifies the sound! Glad it was nothing major.
