Sounds like the thrust bearing in slave cylinder is on it's last legs.

Which means a new slave cylinder.

I've got a squeek when I squeeze the clutch lever. A bit of WD40 seems to do the trick but it does come back. Are there any other symptoms to confirm it's the TBSC?

There is a little bit of oil around the shock but i have recently changed the spring so could have disturbed something there, Its definatley gear oil cos i refilled the preload adjuster with it so its hard to say whether its comming from the shock or the gearbox. I will remove the shock and investigate, would gear oil leak past the slave cylinder ?:nenau
