Hi All,

We are heading down into Cochem next week then onto Wolfach in the Black Forrest Area. I have travelled quite a few times from Cochem down that way but find the routes that I have planned are a bit tedious and boring. I have tried different routes but still find them not so fun!

Does anyone have a decent route that I could use to get from Cochem to Wolfach, or are the roads / routes that way not so good? I might of been spoiled for choice when getting into the Black Forrest area and expect the routes to be better? (What do I know!)

Sadly, as we have no way of knowing which ways you’ve been before and found dull, we’ll have to keep suggesting things until someone, somehow hits the right note.

I’ll start:

PS There are not “Great roads, mate” everywhere you want / need to go. The obvious observation is, if you find the area dull, why go there again?

PPS There is not too much to recommend in this stretch, no matter how hard you might try:

Try the 48 that goes though Kaiserslautern and then down to Wissembourg (FR) and then onto Baden Baden then take the B500 down to Wolfach
We did it last Saturday
