So going to Cochem soon and aparently there is a wine festival on. Will be parking the bike up for our visit Have been looking at previous posts for tips. I am looking for advice please.
1. Is the evening cruise worth doing , because my understanding is there will be live music in town anyway
2. Want to do some scenic walks during the day . Is the cable car worth doing and can you walk back or is it too far
Any advice greatly appreciated

Last time me and Our Lass went over we hired E-bikes for a day. Brilliant way of getting around and seeing stuff. Have you been to Burg Eltz?

Did we not do an evening cruise on the ‘Disco boat’?

Or is that a one off thing during the other wine festival?

Prob a one off as the party boat stops at the lock and turns round. Usually the boats go through the lock to get to Beilstein.

Think I seen photos of the Disco boat. I assumed it was on regular. But if bands are on in town that would be my go to

We got ours from a place in Bruttig Fankel, a small village just outside of Cochem which was where we were staying. About 29 euros each for the whole day if I recall but there are hire shops all over, it’s a very popular way of getting around the Mosel Valley.

I’ve no idea of their range, but we rode all day and didn’t run them out.
