So this morning traveling from north to south 260miles of obscene rain the clocks stop working whilst traveling at a steady 70.the mph clock stop working as well as the Rev counter there was no fuel gauge or temp
Just the clock was showing on the dash and nothing else which never moved on a minute ,after about 10/15miles it started working again, then went off and on again about 20times
Anyone got any ideas??
Oh and just to add I think I saw something like "EWS!" I think? But I can't be sure that's what is was as it was raining that hard

Check the wiring connector to the instrument block. Also check the wiring bundle adjacent to the battery. Mine had rubbed the insulation almost to the copper on some wires. I avoided a short circuit but there was likely to be enough of a voltage leak to affect the canbus.

intermittent fault between alternator and battery as you were moving, so as Bendy says, might be a wiring issue between the two?

Cheers For the heads up guys will defo have a look over this weekend and report my findings(it's been fine all this week 300+ commuting miles)
