code plug and surging

Its on an Rt 2002. Does any of you guys know about the code plug which is pink that you can change for the olive green one from a GS that will solve the surging issue?

Also when you rmove the code plug and run with not one in it runs fine almost no surging but it seems to affect the top end grunt a bit. Can it do ant damage running without a code plug?

Any other help would be appreciated. The bike is in tip top tunning form so its not a service issue.

Thats only relevent to 1100 - not 1150

You don't need plugs, just a piece of wire with two spade connectors at each end - plug in the various options and see which runs best .
