I can now confirm that replacing the ZFE unit with a unit out of another bike works fine. I too went the float route in replacing the fuel strip in my 2007 GSA, but I had a ZFE Basic module and could not get it to recognize float. I ran a full tank of fuel though the bike seeing if it would at some point recognize the float assembly, but no go. The ZFE Basic module does not display the Inductive_Fuel_Sensor option when using MotoScan, so I replaced it with a ZFE High module out of a 2009 GSE (which does give the option). Once installed, the bike started up fine and the float assembly now show fuel in the tank. Just make sure you select all of the appropriate options to match your original ZFE module when you preform the coding function. So far, all is well! Thanks gents.if you swap out the ZFE does the bike start?
I thought chassis number and immobiliser settings needed coding in (which motoscan doesn't do)
