Come on out the of closet. Post your Harleys.

Somewhere in New England, wishing I'd not rented this springer softtail...

...got saturday free this weekend in Orlando and all that they have for rent are HD.

Ahhhh!

To be honest I couldn't see the point of a Harley until I rode one. While in Alaska last July, the owner of the Anchorage dealership kindly lent me one for a few days. Have to say I could find space in the garage for one of these. Sounded like a cross between a Lancaster Bomber and a shotgun.

That was in Alaska, not the wet, 'orrible, traffic jammed, UK. There is alot of point to them elsewhere, but here????

Strange bike. Always look better without anybody sitting on them.

Most of the "Hardly Dangerous" riders get on their bikes, and all of a sudden.................. you can't hear the engines :nenau

I don't "get" the "Harley" thing at all - why the need to wear orange and black gear and call every club - "chapter" ?

"Throw my leg over a Fatboy"? Not feckin' likely - Michael Barrymore might though?
Al :nenau

This is mine, 100th Anniversary 883 Sportster. Just 535 miles on the clock, unfortunately it is for sale if anyone is interested.
Lloyd.

And you think all Harley riders wear factory riding gear, ride with a single make club and ride one type of bike? :augie

Theres a lot of riders out there who put big miles on their Harleys, don't conform to the stereo type Harley rider and have no time for HOG :ymca2

I'm not a fan of the Fatboy and other Softail bikes but I do like some of the usable Twin shock models.

:thumb2 Spot on. I wasn't particularly impressed with Harley until a couple of years ago. Then I purchased a 1996 Electra Glide. Fantastic bike, can't compare it to a GS or sports bike but even at 11 years old I would happily head off to just about anywhere on it. I did 800 miles in one hit last summer: great fun, and I have no urge to dress like the village people :ymca
It's a matter of different horses for different courses.

Wee davy Harrison

built like a tank, goes like a train, sounds like a cement mixer.

This is not mine anymore, it had to go to pay for the GS.
2001 FXDX, bought it new and sold it with 85,000 miles on the clock. It was more reliable than you might think and survived 5 full winters usage ...
