Here I come to the delicate matter of helmet choice and accessorizing.
I personally like the C2 helmet from Schubert but I found nowhere on their website any information about the use of speakers/microphone kit nor it’s availability. I have found though on some forum posts with reference to such Bluetooth enabled devices such as BlueBike, BlueAnt and J&M.
Does any of you fellows have used or use the Schuberth C2 and have fitted some audio kit to it?
What about other flip-up helmets communication enabled? I know about the Nolan but I don’t particularly like the helmet itself as it is a bit heavy and the outside dark visor does not appeal to me.
Thanks for all your input. :beerjug:

I have a C2 with Autocom speakers and mike.

I chickened out and enjoyed a ride up the Fosse Way to get them installed by Autocom, but the website has a pdf with instructions.

http://www.autocom.co.uk/ - see Brochures and Product Support.

I too use a C2 with Autocom. Fitting the speakers and mic is a sod to do, even following the pdf instructions. There is very little space for the ear pieces which I eventually solved by melting some of the foam away with a hot spoon, the covering on the ear sections is glued on and is hard to remove without damage and its a sod to get the flip working cleanly after reassembly.

It's a great helmet but if you are nearby get Autocom to fit the kit, it's worth the money.

C2 with AKE, another with CellularLine Interphone. Bot wireless, both with flat speakers.

BlueAnt Intercom

Hi
I have a Shoei Multitec with a BlueAnt intercom. I have fitted these to many types of helmets with no problems. Flat microphone and boom mike.
Fantastic unit and clear as a bell at 90MPH. Only thing to be careful of is talk time . If you leave them on full intercom you will get about 4 hrs talk time but I turn off and on the talk option from standby, press button on - talk - press button off . As it is not Voice activated so talk is ON all the time thats why it drains the battery in 4 hrs. Up to 700 hrs on Standby

Have you looked at the new Nolan 103?, which is lighter and the sun visor is now inside the lid.

Just a thought

And a good thought it is... :thumb2
I will have a look at the 103 as it seems definitely more interesting than the 102. I have meanwhile bought the Schuberth C2 but the new Nolan is worth closer scrutiny none the less.

Cheers,

Have had the Nolan (102) for over a year no problems worked well.
Excellent comms, at times had phone Ipod and pillion comms going.
Looking to change to the 103 will take a look.
