off on a jaunt, the Mrs on the back, the kids on their own bikes. The Mrs & I have Cardo Packtalk Bold on our lids, my lad has my old Sena SMH5 unit, there’s a spare Sena SMH5 not fitted. We’d like to be able to have 4-way conversations.

We never got the Sena units to talk to the Cardo.

The only easy option seem to be to buy a pair of Cardo units, new or secondhand. They seem to have got much more expensive.

Anyone with any knowledge/experience could advise please?

To get beyond Bluetooth range, I guess it has to be Packtalk?

Will the Freecom units connect to Packtalk, and if so, what range?

I presume all the new Packtalk units talk to the older ones? The Bold is no longer available.

Does anyone have and working Packtalk units that they’re willing to sell? Eg if you’re upgrading?

Cheers

The Sena is capable of connecting via bluetooth to any other BT capable system

We managed it a couple of years ago connecting Sena to several and various other systems in a group of 8

It varied but probably and at a guess a good KM

Problem is as ever with none mesh when one drops out because of range etc then people have to start pressing buttons to reconnect then it goes to shit
