Guys, just a tip here - when shopping for larger CF cards for the SP 26xx, buy the least expensive CF card that meets Garmin's specs.
There is NO advantage at all in getting the 'high speed' cards that are made for digital photography. The GPSR doesn't read the data off the card very often, and when it does read it, it reads it well ahead of time. Buying a high speed CF card for a GPSR would be like putting 98 octane in a moped - might make you feel good, but otherwise a total waste of money.
Also keep in mind that for all practical purposes, two 512 meg CF cards are just as good as one 1024 meg (1 gig) card. By this I mean if you already have a 512 meg card, but want more storage, don't spend a pile of money on a 1 gig card, just buy another 512 meg card (ideally, secondhand from someone who bought a 1 gig card). The CF cards are tiny, so no problem carrying them with you on long trips, and it takes all of 10 seconds to change the cards. Just load both cards ahead of time (for example, one containing UK and France, the other containing Portugal and Spain), include one map segment of overlap along your planned route, and swap them at the appropriate place.
