I'm thinking about raising the Ride Height of the GS and was wondering whether fitting GSA Suspension would make much difference.
Anyone know the answer?
Anyone have a decent set of GSA Kit for sale?

TIA :thumby:

You will need to change the stands too. In my, limited, experience of riding a GSA in comparison to the GS the lower centre of gravity of the GS improves the handling.

Thanks GR.
I hadn't thought about the Stands TBH.
I like the Handling of my GS so that might throw a large Spanner in the Works for me I think.
I have ridden a 1200 GSA and quite liked it but I didn't do much Twisty Stuff with it.
Definite Food for Thought!!

Agree about the stands, not so sure about the handling. I've done 32,000 miles on my GSA after 80,000 on my GS and I reckon the handling on the GSA is better. I put it down to better qulity shocks.

Gary, Ive got a adventure front shock you can have if you want to pick it up. It's a stocker and no idea how it performs but it looks OK and doesn't seem to be leaking.....(unless all the oils already leaked out :D ).

Thanks Paul, that's great.
Maybe I can do it Johnny Cash Style...."One Piece At A Time"....:thumby:

No probs, I'll put it on one side. Best leave things till after Easter, I'm off work at the momment with a particularly nasty chest infection.

No worries mate, I'll give u a shout after the Bank Holiday

What state is your GS suspension in? I only ask because replacing my well worn originals with nice new (Hyperpro, in my case) GS units (re)gained a fair dose of ride height that had sagged over the years.

GS handles much better than a GSA.

Even with Nitrons all round my GSA is not as good as my old GS with stock shocks and Hyperpro springs. Don't get me wrong, the Nitrons are miles better than the stock shocks, but the higher centre of gravity of the GSA means it is less chuckable than the standard GS. Off road the GSA is head and shoulders above the GS though.

My GS has only covered 35k Miles and the Guy who did most of them flew Solo as I do.
The Suspension looks and performs as new but I was thinking about getting the GSA Height.
Listening to everyone's Input, I think I may stay with what I have for now.
