Hello all, first post and hope people can help me out, I have a 2017 GSA, and have a friend with a 2018 GS, he would like his to be taller, and I would love it if mine were an inch shorter, are we able to swap shocks between the 2 bikes and have everything work properly after a calibration? (Motoscan).
My hesitation is mine has analog with the 1 helmet, 2, and 1 with luggage symbol (no auto) and his is TFT with the auto mode. The part numbers of my shocks are different from what you get when you look up now on a BMW parts catalog (something changed between 2017-2018 possibly?) but all shocks for all LC models bring up the same part numbers now from 2013 to 2024.
Just don’t want to do all the work and have something not work oh his or mine due to any year to year changes. would LOVE any insight into this. Thanks all. 1” shorter would help me out a LOT. I don’t want to go full low chassis shocks. I know we also need to swap stands.
