Hi Ian, I'm sure it was either map source from discs of some years back or a Garmin update.
I also remember seeing something like Accord32 or similar in my app data / local / temp file and thinking I don't recognise that, so whether that was anything to do with it.
I'll have a look tomorrow and swork out how to get from the blue screen to follow the instructions, I'm no expert.
If I get stuck I'll post a photo of the screen for your help.

Just to finish off the thread, the blue screen was down to the hard drive failing at 20 months old (BOO) I had it diagnosed & repaired by Knowhow (Curry's) as that is where it was bought at a cost of £104 all in (Not bad) I then wrote a nice but complaining letter re consumer writes act / fit for purpose and lasting a reasonable time and got my charges refunded (Hooray)
Good old Curry's and more custom from me.
