Computer/Mapsource/ technical help

Was working fine but today it wont transfer data to or from unit. Keep getting blue screen with error codes,
OE:0028:COO30AEC or
FILE VMM(01) + 0000C86A OE:0028:C000D86A
and also mapsourse progams stops responding.
Could it be the program, unit or computer
Any computer wiz kids out there

Based on what you have reported, I think it is very probable (95% confidence) that the problem is with your computer, not with your GPSR or the MapSource program or the cartography.

I wish I could give you some 'magic wand' suggestion that would help you solve the problem, but to be honest, I have no idea WTF is causing your computer problem. It could be anything from the alignment of the planets to a firewall issue to a virus problem, or maybe even a torqued-out dindle rod.

In the VMM file: check the oe:0028:c000d86a.
It's a reg error.
have at look through this site for a fix.
