I’m struggling to set up the nuisance flashing parameter on my cansmart.

If I set “flash on braking” with the nuisance speed set to zero the brake light flashes fine at any speed but also at a standstill which I don’t want.

As soon as I increase the nuisance setting to anything the light won’t flash at any speed, it’s just on solid while braking is happening.

Any ideas?

Thanks chaps.

If i remember right, its not speed driven but by the g-force of braking. So if you initially start braking heavy it'll flash, and turn solid when the braking force is reduced.

It’s all configurable as is the cut off speed but I can’t seem to get that to work correctly.

Yes

Came in with cornering ABS on the 2016 GS, but the brake light only flashes under emergency braking, i guess the EMU senses a certain level of deceleration

I think it uses the abs / speedo sensor to measure rate of deceleration, I may be wrong though.

It can also be configured to flash under severe engine braking.
