Hi my name is Bill, and want to fit my new spot lights, I have read there is a fitting service but as I would like to do this myself.

I have read that the feed is from the low beam headlight and will need a switch with light to comply with regulations, but I have also been told if I connect it wrongly,
I will get a warning code from the cambus system. Can you or have any of you wired your own lights and can you proved me with any instructions to assist me please.

This is for a GS 1200 my04-07 model on a 05 reg.

I also spotted a post re onlineshop found on ebay with loom and switch, has any one used it.

Many thanks Bill

You DO NOT need a separate switch for your lights. Simply wire them in with a relay, taking the trigger from the low beam or main beam, depending on when you want the lights on.

I have 2 pairs of spot lights wired in to the MAIN beam via a relay. No extra switches but they are fused. The relay is tucked under the front of the tank.

I also have a Les Wassal HID50.com 55w HID dipped and main beam.

Non of the above cause ANY canbus issues.

Brilliant I have the wired kit, with an inline fuse and relay. Which came with the Ring ice blue lamps from Halfords. £39. so next week,---- busy, busy.

Thanks again for the advice, cheers Bill.
