Are you putting the MP3s on the SD card and then putting in the XT?

i don't actually own an XT, but believe this is how you are meant to do it.

I have my music loaded on to a SD card in the XT, other than that I play music off my phone, as the XT is Bluetoothed to the iPhone for traffic updates it also picks up the music and displays the track being played.

Your phone?

The SD card needs to have a folder called "MP3" and for it to have the music in. IIRC you might have to have a single MP3 song on the XT's hard drive for it to recognise the other ones.

Ahhh - that makes sense as to why the mp3's in the SD card root folder are not recognised :0)

I just have the music on my phone.

i just say "Cardo play music" and i get sexy music to ride too lol
sod all that pressing buttons, that's so 1980s :D

You can still do that with your music on the SD card - The Hey Cardo - play music command works just fine.

I've about 15GB of music on my Zumo XT. Just down loaded the albums as MP3. If you use Itunes your .MP3's will be M4a's and the Zumo wont play them. I use Spotify mostly if I'm riding and listening to music. But its handy to have some music on the device as you may not have mobile coverage in certain areas.
