Ive seen a few piks on this site of GS fitted with GSA spoked wheels and I think they look the DOGS.
Can anyone advise best route forward and has anyone got any for sale ?

would appreciate best price anyone has paid at Dealer - cos me thinks its gonna be f****ng expensive:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

Thanks:thumb

Blu-Dub.....if you buy on Ebay, just be patient. I spent about 2 months this last Spring bidding on individual wheels and most of the time would get sniped at the last second. I got lucky on a rear wheel out of the UK that was fairly beaten, but surprisingly true - I think that I paid 80 Pounds. The front wasn't so easy....I paid $400 for a very good condition GSA wheel (black) from a guy in the USA. These wheels get posted often for sale from Germans on German Ebay and usually go for between 400 and 500 Euros. New, they are over 800 Euros each. When you get your spokes...put some decent knobbies on!

They are a complete t##t to keep clean

If you do mostly road riding dont bother

Just my opinion:thumb

+1
one plus point over my 1150 spoked wheels :(
alloys for me please "bob" ;)

Wait for the manufacturer of the alloy wheels to go bankrupt. Then place an order for a factory bike, not one 'in stock'. Hey presto! The bike shop calls you to say they've fitted spoked wheels, for free.

It worked for me :thumb

They are and i dont,my 12 gsa wheels have a lovely thick coating of acf and will not be washed just topped up as necessary as i commute to scotland and back once a week so theres no point washing and polishing.Imo they look so much better than alloys but im sure not everyone will agree with that:augie

Just buy my 2009 SE with black coated spoked wheels, they look fantastic.
My 30th model coming in a couple of weeks !!!!!!!:rob

Spokes?

How the fashions change - once upon a time all bikes had spoked wheels (as did most cars) and everybody who ever tried to clean them wondered whether one day there would be something less fussy and equally useful. When alloy wheels appeared that should have been the end of spoked wheels for any normal road use - but no, the fashion has once again changed and spokes are in again! Can you believe that my wife loves her BLACK car, paid extra for that 'colour' and rejected all other colours. What would henry Ford think of that? (And is it me or this Forum that wants to spell colour as COLOR? )

Thanks guys for the comments, links etc - sorry not responded earlier but I've been away to london 2 days on business - best bit about it was i took the bike and left the car at home and not one stretch of motorway between Preston and Twickenham - well OK only a little bit down the southern bit !!

I take onboard whats been said - however i still like the look and i dont mind cleaning my bike - I wonder how many GSA's have ever been off road ?? maybe someone with no intention of ever going off road would like to swap!!

I'll keep on searching and ask Jim at SSB for his best £ :D:D:D:D:D:D
