Due to a rather large puncture on my B/stones at 2500 miles I decided to get a full set of Conti Road attacks.

Ive done 150 miles on them so far and here is what I think.

As a tyre goes Its a good looking one, but one the GSA its look a tad out of place and would look more at home on a sports bike.
The tyre has quite a stiff sidewall and comfy mode now feels like sport mode as the tyre is very firm, but that gives alot of feedback. Its very quiet, fairly soft compound and very low rolling resistance.
Ive not tried it in the wet yet but in the dry it gives super confidence and Ive have been throwing this bike around all over the place and not once has the tyre got out of shape. No problems with full accelration and very stable under very hard braking.
I absolutly love this tyre and the lean angle im getting is great, I already got no chicken lines on the rear but a little left on the front.

If you want a very sport biased road tyre although a little stiff with tons of grip this is the baby.
I wont change from this tyre untl either a better one comes along or I go off road.

Just another thing I popped into South London Motorrad and they have 2 new R&G products, One being a final drive protecter at 22 quid, I bought one and picture to follow.
They also supply some beautiful R&G Carbon engine guards at about 100 quid, believe me, they are well nice.

I hope the pics work.

+ 1 I've had Road Attacks fitted for about 1,000 miles now - agree with pretty much everything you've said - firm, excellent feedback, good lean angle - good tyres!:thumb

I'd be interested what you make of them in the cold, or the wet. I don't think they are as assured as the 020's in these conditions, but they last longer. You pays your money and takes your choice.

I've got the Trail Attacks on my GSA and love em. 9000 miles on they're still working well and I reckon the rear still has at least another 1000 miles left on it :thumb2

Serious question - would anyone feel brave enough to try gentle off-roading on them (eg unmade roads and not green laning or mud plugging)?

After having OE Bridgestones, two sets of Anakees, two sets of Tourances, I now have Road Attacks fitted. Now that I've done about 1000 kms on them I can handle them ok and I like them, but for the first few hundred ,cornering was a bit different. The bike was tipping in so much quicker than the Tourances, that it was going around the corner before I was quite sort of organised! Sounds silly I know , but I'm being honest. I dont care what anyone says, but when the road looks wet and slippery it is---- no matter what tyre you are running. The Road Attacks were slipping on the slimy stuff exactly the same as the Tourances.

I've been mildly 'off road' with the Trail Attacks fitted and it's not funny

Unmade roads etc, no problem :thumb2

'Proper' laning and mud - defo not funny but good fun :thumb Depends on your confidence/foolhardyness :D

These piccies are from a couple of years ago but funnily enough I did the lane in the last piccie at the weekend, with the Lovely Amanda on the back - on Avon Azaro/ST's. Lovely Amanda got off half way up as it was freaking her out a bit :D but the tyres coped ok (it was dry).

They don't do mud

Even TKC's struggle though (I had somehow just cleared that section, he was stuck!)

Coped fine up here (steeper than it looks)
