Just got back from 3000 mile trip on new Conti Road attacks. Trip round alps, dolomites etc.. Nice feel to the tyre, they roll smoother than the BWs and drive out of corners well but don't seem quite so good when it is damp and greasy. At max or close to max lean angle, I don't think they feel as secure as the BWs. I notice the front has also worn close to the edge, something that never happened on the BWs so either the tyre has a different shape or I'm taking more liberties braking into corners. to summarise, I thnk they are good but not substantially better in the wet than BWs, Road Pilots or D607s. With any of these i can scrapethe pegs (or the brake pedal) when it's dry so what I want is max wet grip as I like to speed up in the wet to get home and dry

(I contacted metzeler to confirm this).
