Just wondering if these fit the 1200 GSA? If they do has anyone any experience with them? I hear they have very good wear rates and handle fairly well too.
Cheers all:beerjug:

Really not sure, i suppose are they better than the Michelin Anakees that I have fitted to my GSA? I was going to go for TKC's but not sure I would be doing enough off road stuff to warrant it! The Escapes seem to have more of an off road look about them, but are they as good as the Tourance? Any info is always helpful.

My GSA came on TKC80's and the rear lasted 5300 miles but in fairness it was completely shagged. Looking at the tread pattern of the Escapes would suggest they would last around 7500 so somewhere between the TKC80 and the Trail Attack :augie

Just ordered a pair of the old Tourances for mine ;) I'll stick with them as all round I think they're the best choice...

Had Trail Attacks on in the past, good as well , but the Tourances have the edge with me :thumb

I know times are hard for many at the moment, and if you look after the pennies and all that malarky, but people seem obsessed with wear rate and how many miles they get out of a make of tyre.
Its grip I'm more interested in, and I would always sacrifice a couple of thousand miles for a better performing tyre. :thumb

In which case, I'd have previously recommended Dunlop D607 as being the excrement-to-the-blanket big trailie tyre. However, I see that they've got a new model in the Trailmax TR91 and as yet, I haven't tried those.

Who said anything about being obsessed with wear rate? I don't know anyone who has fitted these to a GS or GSA so was after info on just that! if they have a good wear rate then all to the good, if they don't and are as sticky as shit to a blanket then i would still buy them, if they are crap then I will move back to Tourances, plenty of grip for my standard of riding.
Do the escapes actually fit the GSA's wheels?

.... just a general observation - not so much your post, but on a lot of the tyre threads on here. I see more questions on ware rate than 'how grippy' !! :)

Might not be much help but I had them on the 650 and they lasted longer and were more confidence inspiring than the Trailwings it came with. I have the standard fitment Tourances on the Tenere and I don't like the way they handle in the wet so when they've had it I will go back to the escapes again.

Escapes are not available for gs sizes.
Just replaced some Michelin Anakee 2 which did 7000 but were absolutly fantastic, wet n dry, also kept a good profile throughout without squaring off.
Have put on the new Tourance EXP M (M, new updated version with better wear?) so will see how they go. I would rate the Anakkes as better than the old Tourance (my preferance)
