I realise that they are not long on the market but has anyone tried the new Conti Trail Attack 3 ???

My mate has them on Keith, he swears by them now, he was a Roadtec 01 freak, but says these are his number 1,s now, he has done 3000 kms on them, and still look new.

I’ve got them on my 1200. 2000 miles in and very impressed. Having said that I’ve always been a fan of the TA2’s. I had Anekees on when the bike came from the dealer and the TA3’s are streets ahead:D

Quite amusing my mate is Harry the katz also, German one. :beerjug:

I think I'll give them a try in a few weeks.
My bike has developed a front end shake from around 60mph.......and I think it's tyre related because my previous GS (exact same year/model) had the very same front and shake/vibration.......and the common denominator, I'm afraid to admit, is my favoured Avon Trailriders.
I only just put them on my current bike for the first time.

To be honest, I'm hoping it's the tyres!!!

Have you tried a slightly different tyre pressure keith to see if it does the same, worth trying, sometimes 1 or 2 psi make a difference.

I have had them on my 2008 GSA for a 4,000 mile tour, everything from pissing rain to 38 degree heat. I haven't had any issues with grip or feel and to be honest they are a bit shiny now but look pretty much new. I was worried about the tread pattern - it is very similar to the Pirelli Scorpion Trail 3 which I had on before but suffered really odd heavy wear on one of the front tyre grooves and serious squaring of the back. These are much better, going to try them out again tomorrow with no luggage etc. so will see what they feel like.

Just fitted a set. Heading down to Italy next weekend... So far I'm just settling them in (basically getting my head out of riding worn tyres!). The roll/ lean profile feels solid and predictable

Will report back after the 3k miles I'll cover.

6 of one, half a dozen of the other.....either way, TA3's are a damned fine tyre :thumb2
Cheers for that Keith.

They seem to have fallen out of favour with the established Irish tyre fitters.
The 3 places I would normally trust not to damage my rims don't stock/supply them.
I think it's a price thing, Continental where always dearer than the rest of the brands over here.
I might have to ride up to Newry to get a set fitted.
