I’m tempting fate but I think I have cracked this - by using, as many others do, a second, dedicated phone that’s always on the bike just for the app and nav.
All seems to be working and MRA exports flawlessly to the CR app.
Plus, with the iPhone shortcuts for the BMW CR app and WiFi cycling enabled - it connects each time on bike startup without messing.
