Conversion to 'normal' indicator switchgear?

Just a voice from Germany: The special three button indicator thing with recent BMWs is also a source for fierce pro and con discussions over here. It is exspecially inconvenient, if you happen to change bikes frequently (that is also the reason why the press hate these buttons). And, no, I never came across a decent solution to fit a three-button BMW with a conventional japanese switch or to convert a new GS back to the old system.

And, yes, I often also indicate left politely when I wanted to use the horn;-)

After a year of owning a 2012 1200GSA I still hate the indicator switchgear. "You'll get used to it in no time", I was told, well I haven't and don't think I'll ever like it.
So has anyone fitted conventional switchgear (by which I mean a multifunctioning single button indicator on the left hand side), maybe off another make or watercooled GSA?

Don't waste your time - just upgrade to the LC model. I'm actually a huge fan of paddle switches but if it's annoying you why not make the change (that we will probably all do sometime anyway) now?

I like the indicator ON paddles. I hate the single OFF paddle and just ask why on and off could not be done on the same paddle.

Chucking the baby with the bath water as they have with LCs seems like overkill, if not pandering to the press.
Reprogramming the delay is all very nice but again that could have been made a user function. Example Audi windscreen wiper delay. Click one wipe then click it again. The wipers will continue at that delay until turned off.
