Necessary or not?

I run without but I only have the LED in the main beam - That’s IMO is the way forward as you can keep the dipped beam adjusted to a high level and the main then has some range.

I have used Horizons Led dip & main. Product Code: CREE-H7-GEN4-6.
No fans and 50K miles with no problems.
In my very `umble opiion I think they are the way forward.
I've just switched to am entirely new led headlight unit... It's way way better than the led 'bulb' I had put unto the OEM headlight unit... It's a new addition... so my fingers are crossed it just quietly gets on and shows what is supposed to. The cost of these has lowered so into the realms of giving it a punt

I went for the passive LED type -
why put another current draw & potential failure mode into the system ...
And there;s nothing like a squeeling fan to draw the eyes of a beady tester come its annual inspection![]()
Any details...... links please?
Landed to my door it was about £210-220, can't remember precisely right now. That's through Alibaba. Took about 3-4 days to reach me, which I thought was goodLooks good - cost??
I got these - £20 a pair, they seem to work pretty well.

MOT issues ??
Local tester was forced to fail my GSA last week for my HiD50's despite passing them previously, he says VOSA are now coming down hard on testers. He told me to refit them once tested if I wanted (after passing the retest with filament lamps) but I can't be arsed with the faff and possible insurance mod malarkey.
