Read a few posts on the red fans jamming so decided to check mine out as i had never heard it run. Left running on drive for ages, gauge was 1/2 which is where it normally stays as i have never seen it go above even in traffic, two r/h pipes were quite hot but l/h side of the rad was just warm :nenau.
After a few more minutes the fan cut in with 1 segment over 1/2 way on gauge, i felt the pipes and l/h side of rad and all hot :thumb.
I have landed at home a few times over the last few months and the bike smelt hot but gauge always show 1/2 way. Got home last night and checked the pipes and left side of rad, pipes were hot but could still hold my hand on them and the other side was slightly cooler thats after a 25 mile commute, did the same this morning after a conjested run in and although the crankcases were very hot the pipes and rad were a lot cooler :nenau
Just need a bit of :comfort that all is well as every other bike i have had gets hot pretty quick and all the pipes and engine seem to be about the same temp. Any thermal dynamic engineers about ?
