Hey Guys- I am now in Cornwall- Bit of a crazy move on my GS (unfortunately it broke down north of Manchester!)- but the kind folk @ BMW Plymouth have got me back on the road! I have heard there are bike meets, one near St.Erth cafe (on the old dairy site, there is a cafe there now?)?? and another at Hayle roundabout near MacDonalds? Has anyone been there? do you go there? what am i to expect? obviously as i'd be driving i wouldn't expect to go along and drink beer- any advice on what to expect at bike meets would be great as I am a newbie to this kind of thing!
Looking forward to any feedback- Cheers Jon
Yep there's a meet nite on Tuesdays which had got a bit broken up some at the McD's and some at the cafe. Personally not been for a long time so have not seen the effect, a bit further a field there is a monthly GS meet:-
If you are in to ride outs there's a couple of one's the Plymouth Mega Ride around 8,000 - 10,000 bikes

Welcome again Narcoda. Glad you made it and I am sure you were well looked after by the guys at Ocean, especially Bill.. As for the meets. Tuesday nights at Maccy D's at Hale. went this week, plenty there and a nice atmosphere. everything from cruisers to ricerockets and a smattering of specials and vintage. Even a couple of traffic lads on bikes enjoying the chat. Ive never seen any numpties wheelying or similar. Just dont drink the tea. its truly awful.
There is another lot meet on Sundays at the cafe you mentioned at St Erth, Ive not been but believe they are a sociable bunch. As I said before, South West Riders meet on sunday mornings at the triple M cafe just outside Portreath. If you want more details of this pm me and I will give you directions. There are a number of good rideouts throughout the year like the Jennings run, Plymouth megaride and the pirate radio run.
You will find that the Cornish love bikes, even old ladies will come over sucking their ice creams and talk bikes, Car drivers often pull over to let you pass and kids will wave as you go past... bloody great.. enjoy
