Corran Ferry

Hi all, We plan to use the Corran Ferry during our trip to Scotland. On the ferry website it mentions NETHER LOCHABER and ARDGOUR but can't see these names on my road atlas.
Are these the two points the ferry goes between, if so do we just go to Corran and the ferry is easy to find?

Just follow the road to Fort William - cross the Ballachulish Bridge and the ferry terminal (?) is a few miles further along on your left. The ferry is a ten minute crossing and runs regularly. A small roro.

Enjoy the roads I'm off to Ireland.

Once you've crossed (£1.50), the road south to the Mull ferry is fantastic, as is the scenery

If you're not going to Mull, I'd recommend the Glenuig Inn for an overnight stop

It's just a few miles north of Ballachulish on the A82.

The ferry is on the North side of Onich, which, as said, is on the A82 about 8 miles south of Fort William. About 4 miles North of the bridge. You can’t miss it. Its Corran Narrows that the ferry takes you across, the A82 side is Nether Lochaber, the whole area is Lochaber. Ardgour to Strontian road is worth doing a couple of times, it’s a beezer.

If your timing is such that you need a bed for the night about the same time-ish, the Ardgour Inn is not too shabby .http://www.ardgour.biz/ .. right by the ferry terminal..

just back from mull.corran ferry is about 4 miles past the bridge at ballachulish it saves you a 35 mile detour come off the ferry and turn left heading towards the ardnamurchan peninsula,if youre heading for Mull turn left at the t-junction about 8 miles from the ferry and head for Lochaline to get the ferry over to Mull. The scenery on this piece of road is great and you can get a nice roll and coffee at the ferry terminal. Alternately go straight on at the t-junction and head for kilchoan you wont be dissapointed with the scenery. Enjoy yourself
