Whilst I am at it, it appears that the bike spent a lot of its life by the seaside. Unfortunately the previous owners didn't spend too much time on important stuff under the bodywork so I am guessing I am finding a lot of saltwater corrosion ( mostly at the front end, mostly rotted tubing covering most of the wiring which just flakes away). This includes the aluminium sides of the radiators. They are just pure white crumbly fur. This does not affect the function or performance of the cooling system that I can see, but looks shite. Any recommendations for suitable paints to cover this crud please? I've invested in proper wiring tape which is being applied wherever needed and makes the job look half decent again.
