at 22k my handlings starting to go off the boil and I'm thinking of spending a few quid on the suspension. Looking at posts on here I'm thinking of ohlins as although I know there not cheap they do seem to be the best in terms of quality, longevity. I'm looking for a purely fast road setup and I'm about 76kg's. Anyone know what units F&R I should be looking at and the cost, also any reccomendations on where to buy from and having them setup (MCT?)

MCT = Top men = For sure.

Give them a call in the new year.

Ohlins have bought out a new suspension set designed just for the 1200GSA or you can have the Ohlins compromise version.

From where you are, MCT are the people to go to. Excellent service, will advise on what is needed, set your bike up according to your weight/riding/pillion/luggage etc and give you settings for all these situations.

Ohlins aren't cheap but they have a residual value so it's feasible to swop them from bike to bike etc or to sell them on if you change completely.

I put Ohlins on a VFR800 I owned a few years ago, and I'm still convinced it's the best money I've ever spent on a bike. It is expensive, but very much a case of getting what you've paid for. My 1150 is still handling well enough to make the change to Ohlins 'too expensive' for now, but it's coming!

What he said. Had Ohlins on my Varadero which made a huge difference to the bike.

Darren at MCT does both Ohlins and WP - talk to him about the differences.
