Thought I'd put these guys into the ring as I now have some experience of their service!

Needed a 12k service on the GSA and phoned Clarks, NOG and Cotswold. Cotswold came in significantly cheaper (and a lot nearer than NOG who are my prefered dealer) and money is tight at the moment!

The guys (and Jenny!) did a cracking job! Picked up some warranty work for me. Everything done with a pleasant undertstated effectiveness. Good coffee, 50" flat screen, and loads of knowledge for a relatively new dealer courtesy of Mark and Jenny moving over from BVM.

These are the guys to watch. Everything to prove and the need to build the business seems to be keeping the pricing very competitive (and 'no' they didn't offer me a discount for agreeing to post this!)

I've used Cotswold BMW for my past two services and the chain recall on the F800GS. Jenny on the service desk is very helpful. Loan bikes are good and so far I've been given a 1200GS, 1200GSA and F650GS. Service prices in my view are reasonable, last annual service at 15k miles including replacement front wheel bearings and loan bike, £182. Bike always cleaned and everyone I have met in the dealership has been v friendly and always willing to help. I give them the :thumb2

I highly recommend them...When I damaged my front rim, two other dealers told me I had to purchase the complete wheel without the discs..@ £660 pre VAT increase...Cotswold were very honest and said I could buy the rim as a single item..

But no dealers couldn't rebuild the spokes.....Hence devon wheel company helped me with that..In all was half the amount for the rebuild. :)

Does cheap mean all the work is really being done

I got 3 quotes for a 12k service and NOG were by far the most expensive (over £150 more than Cotswold!)

Cotswold did work out cheap, but at that price I wonder if the same amount of work goes into the bike :nenau

Reckon I will go to Bahnstormers as their workshop has a viewing area which gives me a lot more confidence than anywhere that wheels your bike round back for a few hours where you have no idea if anything has been done.

I rate the service team at both NOG and Cotswold (the two dealerships where I've had the most dealings). On the other hand there is one service team I don't rate (which you can easily work out if you look at where I live!):augie Yes - there's always the possibility that they could cut corners and there are plenty of examples on here of people's dis-satisfaction, but I am normally very thorough about exactly what they do for each service and make sure it is properly itemised on the bill.:manny

IMHO you've got to trust some people in this world and the way I've been treated by the former two has never led me to wish to doubt the service I've received.:D

Happy customer (some say too easily pleased!):bounce1
