Thinking of having a ride down there tomorrow ( Tuesday)

Is it a good size, and worth the trip?

Looking for new sleeping bags and anything else that takes our fancy....

:)

Hi Bryn

Pretty reasonably sized store over three levels with a cafe opposite. Modern building in the middle of the Cotswold Waterpark complex. If it's a nice day you can sit outside and watch the varied birdlife across one of the many lakes.

Lots of gear althought the tent section (if you can call it that) on the mezanine is very small (1 or 2 tents erected) but they do have brochures of all their tents, sleeping bags (reasonable selection for all seasons and prices) etc to see and plenty of info available. Staff are keen to help. Lots of different sections including one for walking (shoes section very good) and one section just for the laydees. Usually some sale items but even with the GSer discount, if it still applies, the place is a tad expensive. Quite a wide range of brands and some good quality stuff plus the cheap alternatives.

Some really nice roads to ride around there keeping away from the busy A419.

Long way to go for a shopping trip!

Thanks for the reply Steve.... I've got around 600 miles to put on the GS before its service, and its going to be a nice day :thumb

We'll head that way and see if we end up there :beerjug:

There's also a new Go Outdoor opened in Swindon recently, which is only 15 miles or so up the road. It's right next to Tesco's main store if you go looking for it...
