Is it 'cause I was wearing my LWD tee shirt?
Was bumbling along merrily having already done 40 miles so nice and warm. Approaching a roundabout, went into 3rd and the big bu@ger died on me.
Managed to paddle it out of the way and it reluctantly restarted. Run quite rough for a few slow miles but then seemed to be a bit better. I pulled into a layby because I wanted to see what might happen at the next roundabout and it didn't cut out.
Rode home (another 15 miles or so), beginning to think I had imagined all and it had another coughing fit a few hundred yards from home - sort of like a "stuttering" if that makes sense.
Also noticed a slight burning oil smell - been like that since I got it a month ago but don't know if that's significant / normal or what.
It's a 2000 1150.
And it even had petrol in it. Ran fine over the weekend - did about 100 miles.
Any gems of wisdom?
Cheers
