Couple of pints up north (again)?

Suspect I’ll be on the next one that gets in at 1332
Eagles tribute band on in Aviemore that night and we’re going so not sure if I’ll go home first, I’ll see
Oddly, that one must start at Kingussie, as its not shown from Dunkeld....or not stopping at Dunkeld anyway.....whatevs...I can always collect train numbers for a while....oh, I see, it skips Dunkeld on its way up from Perth....hoors...

It'll take me longer to hobble down...I've got a bad knee but I don’t like to talk about it, unlike lesser beings ....

I'll get there around 13:00, booked for home on 17:50...plenty time :beerjug:

Well..first error...halfway to Dunkeld and cooncilkunts have shut the road...dash through the lanes to see that one going...up to Pitlochry for the next...
1332 at Aviemore...

Lovely ride up, met Alastair at Kingussie, hirple down to Old Bridge Inn, met Mike and Rev, moderate refreshment, burger, usual blethers, donder back to station, on train, summon wifey to Dunkeld, all good.
Thoroughly recommend The Old Bridge and its beer, and grub.
Thanks Alastair for organising...great fun as ever.

An excellent way to spend an afternoon

That was a really nice way to spend a few hours of an afternoon , and great to have a catch up over a few pints of session beer .

Another plus was the pub, an old and comfortable establishment with no sport screens or loud music, so perfect for chatting :beerjug:

Spent quite a few good days/nights in the Old Bridge.
I'm glad you all had a good time!

The Desperados (Eagles) were excellent, I’d go again.

How about we go for a pint somewhere exotic in April, Dunkeld would work? Call it a Moffat warmup.

Did the band perform 'Take it to the limit' as in Post #61.👍

I won't have much spare time first couple of weeks in April, and then Tayvallich the week before Moffat..and the spare week is maintenance week !

It might be Moffat is enough for April. We can reconsider for a day after our trips are done though all suggestions welcome
