Hi guys,

Could you please give me advice for the gap between cylinders and crash bars on your bikes.
Please see pictures left side compare to right side.

My old one looked like that when the mechanic dropped it in front of me when he returned it after service showing off!!

I drop it last weekend on Touratech off-road and I have few small scratches on cylinder head but nothing on bars. I can't work out where do they bend

Are the crash bar mounting points flush with the bike frame?

If someone fitted engine covers, then removed them. They may have left 'spacers' in between bar mounting points.

If thats the case, remove spacers and it'll bring the bars back in alignment.

I'm not sure what you mean... could you please make a picture of yours how they are fitted?
Thanks

You take a picture of yours, where the bars are bolted to the bike frame. One at the lowest point is most useful, under the engine.

I'd be looking for a gap between the two, held apart 5mm to 10mm by a spacer (if there is any gap).

If there is no spacer then the bars are most likely bent.

Hi

You need to get your local tesco to clean their car park, be easier to see then.

Oops! What did you say to him?

He brought it out stood on the pegs but i think he forgot that they were the gold grippy lowered ones because as he stopped and tried to jump off his foot got stuck and down it went. He apologized and went to get the service manager to come and check it over but we couldn't see any damage. It was only a few weeks later when i was washing it that i noticed. Never bothered me and didn't change the trade in value so all was good.

My bars are uneven,

its a juggling exercise to take off the LH rocker cover, even more fun to replace it :)

it's no biggy, seeing that Delores has gone down at some stage ;)

The gap on the right side is bigger than the left on mine.... its not been dropped? Pop along to the nearest showroom and see what the others looks like...

PM me your email address or mobile number and I will willingly send you some pics. Wouldn't have a clue how to upload here :(

It's look like you have a blocked PM's
I can't send you private message
