Crash bars or not

So after taking off the crash bars on my 2004 1200 GS to deal with the head cover corrosion I am wondering should i put them back on?

The bars are Hepco & Becker but have noticed some rust at the joins.

I like the look of the bike without them and chances of going off road is slim to none.

My question is are they worth putting back on for protection or leave them off.

I have some engine guard protection already on the bike.

Leave them off. They look crap.

Maybe put cylinder head guards on instead...
