Crash Bars

Hi

I am sure that this will have been discused before but as I have only recently purchaced my 1100 here goes.

Can anyone please tell me which the best crash bars are for the 1100, I do not intend going of tarmac and already have the plastic protectors fitted.
I am looking for crash bars that will be functional without looking naff, or do you consider that the plastic protectors are all that is required.
Being new to BM,s as well as the GS I am a little bit concerned about the exposed pots and what potential there is for a large repair bill.

Don't know about the 1100, but I just fitted Hepco and & Beckers bars to my 1150. I got the impression that these were prbably the best bet and they do appear to cover the areas and angles I'd expect to be vulnerable. Also, they are reasonably priced with only small price variation between black, chrome and silver. Given the close similarity between the 1100 and 1150 designs, I can't see why they would not do just as good a job on your bike ason mine. Still, there are plenty of go anywhere 1100 owners on here and I'm sure they'll be one giving you hands on feedback in no time. BTW, welcome to the bosom of banter that is UKGSer!

My Mate Trippy has H&B fitted to his 1100 they look the business. i ordered some H&B bars from Motobins last week for my 1150 £90 + vat + delivery - i ordered these cos of the same reason that Warthog said
