cure for lack of preload adjustment

Excellent find, just fitted my std back on and its almost on full pre-load with just a single rider.

Now what oil to use :D

Guess we are all going to be in the shed this weekend doing the preload as it seems pretty simple:thumb

I did this myself a couple of months ago - regained half the adjusters travel which was 'lost' :thumb2

I will give it a go on my WP rear one, theres no resistance to turning the knob, I shall dose it with Citroen blood :)

Does that mean you'll have to draw a pentagram on the floor and sacrifice a Citroen first?

No, seriously, what oil ? :D
No, seriously, I’m being honest :rob
All I have in my garage is 5W50 for petrol car, 15W50 Mobile 1 for my bike, gear oil and brake fluid.
Just found this :
Castrol Fully Synthetic Fork Oil 10W £6.99, this the right stuff ?
Cheers

I used hydraulic jack oil when I replaced the hose.

Did this job in approx 20 mins so its easy and it works! Anyone managed ot drain their whole shock is it strictly a pro job?

I used 20w50 just because it was handy :D

I really don't think it matters what you use as it's not doing anything special.
