Custom routs

I've just asked this on a Zumo forum but I thought I would ask on here too.
I would like to know if it is possible to join a custom route part way through the rout and continue to to next way point or does the Garmin try and take you to the beginning of the route?

It is possible to join a route at any point, just select 'No' when asked if you want to go to the beginning....
