I know that I have read somewhere about Coolcarbon cutting off the speakers from an Autocom and fitting a jack in place to accept in-ear plugs, but can't find the thread:blast
I don't particularly want to buy the Autocom part to accept the in-ear speakers in addition to the standard speakers and would prefer to go down the aforementioned route, attaching a plug to the speakers so that I could use these or earbuds as preferred. However does anyone know how you would wire the socket as the Active 200 speakers do not have a common ground, each speaker having its own. Any words of wisdom from the assembled multitude gratefully received.
Happy New Year :beerjug:

If you decide not to go down the DIY route Autocom will make up a harness for you into which you can plug in your old mic with a 3.5mm plug to accept an in-ear monitor. There are even small connectors should you subsequently decide to fit your own helmet speakers

I think they refer to it as part #12 and costs somewhere in the region of £20

I have an intaride set that i modified, speakers dont have a common ground either, but when fitting a 3.5mmjack, both grounds were soldierd to the ground post :augie
