Before I went on this year's eurotour I fitted a Cyclone alarm - it was only about £20 ( fitted myself ) and other than a flat battery just outside Ypres due to my not tightening the battery lead properly after the installation it has worked fine.

It also has a reassuring blue flashing light to indicate that it's working as well a suitably loud alarm and a radio unit powerful enough to turn off the alarm from the living room when the kids accidentaly set it off.

Anyway to the real point of the post, with some intrepidation from reading various horror stories of batteries being flat after a couple of days on some units, I left the alarm activated before this year's family holiday, the bike had not been used in the week prior to departure and I can report that after a fortnight away the bike started first prod on my return.

The Cyclone gets my seal of approval.
