Cylinder base gasket question

Just putting the barrels back on my 1990 100gs
Just a question does it need additional sealant as well as the O ring?
Bit freaked out about blocking up the oil way!

Lightly grease the O ring and don't use any additional sealer. It is only at crankcase pressure.

Bmw recommend dribond, others use blue hylomar. To be honest I've tried them all and it works best for me with very clean surfaces, no sealant and new o rings all round. Make sure the base o ring hasn't twisted and put a smear of silicone grease on it once it's been fitted.

any one was experince with this gaskets from motoworks?

Base gasket ( all two valve R Series twins ) | ENA19125 | AW046

i use a tiny, tiny smear of loctite anaerobic flange sealant. might be loctite 758?. i'll check in the morning if anyone is interested. it's what ducati specify for their air cooled cylinder barrels and if used there will be no oil misting on the cases.

being anaerobic it won't block any oilways, but i don't use enough to do that anyway.
