I mentioned to the dealer at 6k service a few weeks ago there was a very small amount of bubbling in the paint on the RHS cylinder head. I wasn't bothered about it being replaced immediately but just wanted it on record in case it got worse or once the paint chipped I wasn't just fobbed off by BMW as it being a stop chip. Service guy took a quick photo and I expected to hear nothing else of it.
Anyway, they just called me to say BMW are happy to replace it under warranty no problem, which considering how small the corrosion is at the moment I thought was pretty decent. Also fair play to the dealer Woollaston for seeing it though and not just "putting it on file".
Can't be too careful with bubbling paintwork so I just need to arrange for BMW assist to get the bike over to the dealer.
