I have just fitted a set of these :bow

What a difference, extremely well made and easy to fit. The screen is very rigid now just like my previous 1200GS.

Highly recommended upgrade to anyone who does not like the screen flapping :thumb2

Jon :)

I agree. Using the brackets on my GSA with a Touratech screen extension stops most of the flexing. The arrangement has lasted for 6000 miles with no cracking of the screen around fastenings.

I've had these fitted from day one, and I can't rate them highly enough, they really do stop the screen flexing. There is a Wunderlich version available that costs more but offers nothing more in "rigidity" I'd say well done to Mark Hooton as he's pretty much nailed this one, and at a respectable price to.

Sorry for the hijack guys- I had my screen cracking, and a warranty claim was instituted. I was informed today that BMW had apparently redesigned the whole bracket and screen, and that these will be here in SA from Germany within the next ten business days. All screens that have problems will be replaced with this new system. Do you guys have any info on this maybe?

The only thing I've heard is some screens were installed without the rubber bungs that may have caused the cracking.

So in essence nothing has changed from the old hexhead adventure screen that seemed to arrive pre cracked.

If you are noticing the screen flapping when you are riding your eyes are not on the road.
